Hey there folks! So for once, the reason I haven't posted anything in a while is because I've actually been powering through a lot of programming. Yes indeed, I've been getting the basic functionality working for a game project of my very own.
It's a strategy/tactics game very much in the spirit of PC classics like X-COM and Jagged Alliance, more the latter than the former. It's also about mechs! YES!

Now that I've finally gotten a good chunk of basic functionality working, I should be able to bounce back and forth between code work and art more often. As the first part of an art phase, I've just added the portrait of a pilot you will be able to hire in the game to my DA gallery.
Oh, and I'm still spouting random nonsense about things like Spelunky, Street Fighter 4, game development, and rad tunes as @ Toasticus on Twitter.
